Watch Dogs, Ubisoft's E3-topping thirdperson adventure will be released next year for PC and consoles, according to the game's official Twitter page, suggesting that it's heading to 360, PS3 and possible Wii U.
If it is heading to current-gen consoles, it certainly won't look anything like the footage shown at E3 (below) and will further highlight the growing chasm between PC and console performance. It would also be an interesting demonstration of Wii U's capabilities, of course.
Sony and Microsoft are expected to announce their next-generation consoles at next year's E3, but whether either will release hardware before 2014 remains in question - it's difficult to make any accurate predictions without knowing how far along each company's tech is.
Of course, Ubisoft's mention of 'consoles' leaves things open, as it can't pin down hardware release dates ahead of their respective manufacturers' reveals, so it may yet be heading to next-gen hardware.
